One of my rookie reviews was for Pho Mi 99 because they were so convenient at a time when we sought for takeout. Fast forward a year later, we finally dropped by to dine-in. It's pretty much a family-run food hall, with trolleys of prepared dishes coming from the kitchen within minutes of ordering.

Their well-done beef rice noodle soup had a decent pho broth base. It's a little on the oily side but the savoury soup taste that you want is there. The waitress was quite considerate, bringing scissors & a plastic bowl for the lil one w/o us asking (plus one star!). The grilled pork and spring roll on vermicelli was also on point. Perhaps a little skimpy on the grilled meat but the golden spring roll is very crispy with a thick batter that helps fill up your appetite.

We thought perhaps they were having a slow evening with only 2 tables occupied in the large dining area when we arrived. However 20 minutes later, the place was pretty much packed to my surprise. Pho Mi 99 is a local favourite for cheap authentic Vietnamese eats, that's consistent above all else.

When we first came into the restaurant, we were properly greeted by the servers and prompted to sit at any table (as it was not busy at the time). We would choose and write down our orders as usual, and would give it to the servers afterwards. This treatment was similar to the usual times we have came before; which is fine.

My friend & I ordered their Rare Beef Pho with Tendon and wow, the large was unexpectedly that big haha. We had trouble finishing as we have not anticipated the size. The soup was perfect as I found it was not too salty, and it felt very clear (something I like). The only part I would complain about the pho would be that the beef was not as tender as I've had it before and at other places.

However, what made my rating to 3 stars was not particularly the food, but how the server was trying to force something that did not make sense. When we first asked the server to tell us what the beef on the table was, he said it was satay. We told him that we did not order satay and he came to show us the menu and the number we wrote. It clearly was the other beef dish we ordered and after that, he kept trying to say that our beef dish was not satay but the same as the one we ordered (which was obviously not true). And the funniest part was that he already told us in the beginning that it was satay, but after he realized it was the kitchen mistake.. he kept trying to convince that the dish we had was the same one we ordered when he FIRST told us it was satay.

We did not to return the dish but just wanted to inform them of the mistake; which they did not admit to. As for the satay beef, it was not tender at all. Overall from the taste and what happened with the server, we did not leave the restaurant satisfied (as we usually would).

Probably the largest Vietnamese restaurant I have ever seen. I estimate that this place can seat 80 to 100 people. We were fist ones there so service was fast of course. Tried  a bowl of pho. Soup was good. Decent amount of beef and tripe. Overall a decent bowl of pho. Nothing special to report on.

When you're looking for noodle soup you can't really go wrong with some Pho or Wonton Soup. We were hungry and need something semi-light to fill out tummies before heading to a friend's place for BBQ so we stopped by Pho 99 located in the plaza just outside the Vaughan Mills Outlet. When we arrived we were seated quite fast as they have plenty of seating. We ordered Bun Bo Hue, Wonton Soup and Spring Rolls. When our food arrived all our dishes were piping hot which was nice and our soup wasn't bland. The spring roll looks a little different because it has an orangish colour however when we ate it, it was quite yummy! To end our meal we also got a coffee with condensed milk over ice and a durian shake...that's my favorite.

You can never go wrong with having a hot bowl of noodle soup anytime of the year, yes I am PHO real. The wife and I were starving as we were headed over to Nobleton to help my friend setup for the party later that night so it was apparent that we should stop in for a quick bite. Pho is real hearty and faster than some big burger chains and healthier. Pho Mi 99 is located in the Vaughan Mills area just around the outside plazas right in front along Rutherford. We arrived just before noon and was seated right away, for us we would most likely order 2 small Pho Dac Biet (house special) and my wife would add to my small to make it a large. Today we ordered a wonton soup, fried spring rolls, and a bowl of Bun Bo Hue. Spring rolls are really crispy and fresh, wonton soup had enough wonton to call it a small snack. If you haven't had Bun Bo Hue it mainly contains rice vermicelli, lemongrass, beef, fermented shrimp sauce, pork leg meat, blood jello and some other meats. This one is not for everyone it is spicy and has a strong shrimp paste taste so if you're feeling adventurous give this a go. The service and staff are great food comes out quick, the staff are always around to tend to your needs. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean. I usually eat lunch here whenever I'm in the area and feeling kind of peckish 90% of the time we will be dining here.
